A large collection of approximately 113 press and wire photographs relating to the Civil Rights movement in America.
Including various images, categorized by location, from cities and states such as Atlanta, Alabama, Chicago, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, and Washington D.C. Many of the photographs depict protests and marches alike, notably the March on Washington and tense demonstrations in Selma, Alabama. Also featured are integration scenes alongside shocking views of violence between protesters and police. Silver and wire prints, the images measuring approximately 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), and the reverse, nearly all with a caption in the negative, and most with affixed press clippings, various hand stamps, and press notations, in pencil and ink, on verso. 1960s-80s
