8 of the original photographs bear captions and stamps from PIX Incorporated of New York--5 of them from the 1963 March on Washington, 2 from the New Orleans Freedom March of the same year, and another of a protest in Birmingham. Each of these have individual photographers credited. Also included are uncredited press photographs of a CORE protest in Philadelphia, 1966; and of a James Farmer / Jacob Javits congressional campaign event in 1968. Among the wire photos are a shot of the first integrated senior prom at Oak Ridge, TN, 1956 Civil rights demonstrations in St. Augustine, FL and Cleveland, OH in 1964 and voters in line for registration at Selma, AL, 1965.
