Roosevelt's vice president and was running as a third-party Progressive Party candidate against Truman, Dewey, and Strom Thurmond. The artist was Symeon Shimin, best known for Hollywood movie posters. The poster is inscribed "For Marjorie, for Rachel, and for Judy, with affection, from Semyon."
