Members of the group are a veritable "who's who" of black leadership, with Roy Wilkins in the center and Thurgood Marshall to his left. It was at this conference in Boston that the delegates decided it was high time to attack legal segregation on all fronts. The success of the NAACP's case against graduate and professional schools was the turning point. It was at this conference that Thurgood Marshall declared, "The complete destruction of all enforced segregation is now in sight . . . We are going to insist on non-segregation in American education from top to bottom - from law-school to kindergarten." Brown vs Board of Education was a direct result of this determination.
