This poster was produced for a 1983 protest commemorating the 20th anniversary of the famed March on Washington. 250,000 were in attendance. John Lewis had spoken at the 1963 march as chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, and spoke at the 1983 event as a member of the Atlanta City Council; he was elected to Congress three years later.
