with--Typed Note Signed by Ray, attesting to the authenticity of this painting and added to a typed letter concerning one of his several appeals. Single sheet of State of Tennessee Board of Paroles stationery, dated 9 June, 1986. Two creases where folded. Apparently short of stationery, Ray's note regarding the authenticity of this painting was added to the bottom of a letter Ray had received refusing him a hearing for clemency.
Also, an unrelated Letter Signed by Ray, discussing his appeal for clemency, 15 June 1978 and a signed copy of his pamphlet, "Day of the Pathogen," 1993.
