A poster in support of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, an integrated effort to supplant the segregated all-white Democratic Party in Mississippi at the Democratic National Convention. They sent 64 delegates to the convention in Atlantic City, NJ, but were denied recognition. President Johnson did offer them two at-large seats, which was regarded as an insult.
