Additional Details

The "Wilmington 10" were a group of civil rights activists who were accused of arson and conspiracy in 1970. They were tried and found guilty and sentenced in what many in the U.S. and abroad thought was an enormous miscarriage of justice. Amnesty International took up their case, but they spent nearly ten years in prison before the case was overturned.
