The full-length centerpiece portrait of McClellan and the presence of General Mansfield (died September 1862) suggest that it was produced in the earlier part of 1862. A later version with the same title prominently features President Lincoln, Vice President Johnson, and Generals Sherman and Grant--none of whom are featured here.
