A scarce Confederate pocket map, lithographed by Hoyer and Ludwig, and carried by a soldier who served from May 1861 to June 1865 in the 14th Virginia and likely fought in (and survived) the Battle of Gettysburg. The map depicts as far North as Cumberland and as far South as Petersburg, with the railroad routes identified, and includes a table of distances at the bottom of the image.
