Autograph Letter Signed, to General Badeau, concerning a quotation from Badeau in Logan's Volunteer Soldier of America, denying ever having criticized Abraham Lincoln and calling for a dictator to run the war. 2 pages, single 4to sheet. With a true copy of Badeau's reply to Sickles, denying giving the quote and stating that Logan (the author) was mistaken. New York, 26 August 1887
