Kearny / M'r Gen'l Cmd'g / Div," to Captain David Vickers, Jr., declining his request to join Kearny's staff. Polk. "L. Polk / Lieu't Gen'l / C.S.A.," to General Braxton Bragg, returning a letter from Bragg addressed to Judge Brown with a copy of Judge Brown's words [not present], and requesting that the Judge's words be used in place of those from Bragg's memory. Each 1 page, 8vo, ruled paper; faint scattered staining, remnants of mounting along right edge verso of Kearny, horizontal folds. Np, 17 July 1862; "H'd Q'rs" [Shelbyville, TN?], 10 March [1863?]
