ALS, "Truly your father / RELee," to his son George Washington Custis Lee, sending a fine English saddle with bridle and valise [not present], requesting that he keep it safe, sending a letter for his mother including a passport for Mrs. Murdock [not present], adding that "Gen'l Hooker . . . is agitating his troops. Last friday night he attempted to burn R[ail]R[oad] bridge at Rapp[ahannoc]k Station, Orange & Alex[andri]a R[ail]R[oad].
