Contains the text of two telegraph dispatches dated 7 July: one describing the Battle of Helena in Arkansas, and the other with news on the Battle of Gettysburg received via a flag of truce from Petersburg, which reads in part: "The Battle in Pennsylvania, Further Northern Accounts, Yankee Loss Sixty Thousand, Dan Sickles reported dead."
