Additional Details

Nash had inquired about the status of the Senate's printing order. Superintendent Nelson responded: "No arrangements have been made to go on with the printing, as this Bureau has no authority to make any arrangement to have printing executed, except by the public printer, and that he and his whole force are still in the military service, and of course absent from the city. Under these circumstances it is impossible for me to state when the printing ordered will be completed."
