Issued in Vicksburg just a few months before the siege. The calendar pages note many of the important dates of 1861, including the capture of Fort Sumter and the Battle of Manassas. Also included are the Confederate Constitution; and a 33-page "Diary of the War for Separation" with a daily log of battles from January through 19 November 1862. This was the second of four Confederate almanacs issued by Clarke, though with the fall of Vicksburg, the last two were issued from Mobile, AL. Parrish & Willingham 5289.
