Additional Details

The Union Society assisted the widows and orphans of Savannah. While the title page reads "1860," the last page concludes with a note dated April 1861 which explains that due to "various uncontrollable circumstances" the book's publication was "delayed until a very recent period," making this a Confederate imprint.
