Lloyd issued several versions of this map over the course of the Civil War, none frequently seen today. The sites of major battles are marked by the publisher in red. The principal battles of March 1862 (Pea Ridge, New Berne, New Madrid) are marked, but the Battle of Shiloh or Pittsburg Landing of 7 April is not.
