Among the many illustrated color sheets by Magnus are the war-themed "In Our Own Dear Homes Again," "Who Will Care for Mother Now?", and "Dear Mother, I've Come Home to Eat." From other publishers are an illustrated "Star Spangled Banner" by Cottrell of Boston; "Hoist up the Flag," "The Banner of the Free," and "Where's that Back Pay" by DeMarsan; "Soldier's Tear" and "E Pluribus Unum" by James Gates of Cincinnati; and "The Rally Cry of Freedom," printed in red, white, and blue by James Magee.
