Dupont's "Blockading Instructions, General Order No. 1," 24 October 1861 Instructions for the use of the new rifled 80-pound guns, 10 November 1861 Detailed sailing instructions for entering Tybee Roads, Port Royal, Wassaw Bar, North Edisto River, St. Simon's Sound, and St. Helena Sound, each early 1862 A printed circular letter from the Secretary of Navy announcing the ban on "distilled spiritous liquors . . . except as medicinal stores," which does not preclude "ale, beer, wine, or other liquors not distilled," 16 September 1862 and General Order No. 11 including an annotated list of 44 naval recipients of the Medal of Honor, 3 April 1863. The manuscripts include two receipts and an undated, unsigned order: "To preserve uniformity in the exercise of the different divisions, the officers will make use of the following words of command and see that none others are used."
