Depicts a Union gunboat which was launched in 1863 but did not see service until January 1865. It was one of 5 ships which bombarded Fort Anderson on Cape Fear, in the campaign to take Wilmington, NC. None traced in OCLC or at auction, but another example held by the National Maritime Museum in London.
