This boldly printed large-format recruiting poster promises "liberal bounties" of up to $702, much of it paid up front in cash, plus New Jersey state pay of up to 6 dollars per month (reserved for men with dependents). Recruits were offered their choice of companies and regiments. The four recruiting officers, commanded by Captain Thomas C. Godfrey of the 5th New Jersey Infantry, held the ranks listed here only from 2 March to 4 December 1863. Not in Felcone's New Jersey Broadsides; no other examples traced in OCLC or at auction.
