Additional Details

In this volume, the soldiers of one company signed for their clothing allotments over a three-year period. Each soldier has his own page listing their rank and all clothing received--coats, caps, blankets, socks, and the rest. Many of the soldiers have signed their pages multiple times. An index is bound in after the second section. The battery was recruited in Philadelphia in 1862 as Company G of the 152nd Pennsylvania Volunteers; they joined the new 3rd Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery as Company G in January 1863. They served at the sieges of Suffolk and Petersburg.
