[Timothy H. O'Sullivan.] [Virginia, Petersburg, Field workshop in the Ninth Army Corps.] A group of soldiers is shoeing a horse at right. Another example of this image is held by the National Archives, which places it in their Gardner's Photographic Sketchbook of the Civil War series, but it does not appear in the numbered Smithsonian set of that series. [February 1864.]
