Additional Details

Defeated Confederates Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis are seen vacating the Confederate offices, with the help of two emaciated dogs pulling a wagon. A freed slave thumbs his nose while another dog urinates on a box marked "C.S.A. Treasury, Waste Paper." Their former office bears a fresh sign: "To let. Apply, Lincoln & Co."
