First separate edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica article by John Gillies on Colombia, translated into Spanish by Lorenzo Lleras. Includes a new two-page introduction by President Santander. It was later published in a larger edition in 1896. No other examples traced at auction. Palau 144930 (listing only the 1896 edition).
