A collection of approximately 200 photographs from Boyertown Auto Body Works, which manufactured truck bodies for commercial and government use.
Showcasing Boyertown's expensive market, including the classic ice cream trucks, bookmobiles, a host of food trucks (including bread, pretzels, milk, meat, Chinese food, and more), and trucks for government bodies (mail, customs, the American Red Cross, and others); as well as trucks shown parked in rows, in the shop, with their owners, and occasionally actually on the road. Silver prints, the images measuring 7x9 inches (17.8x22.9 cm.), and occasionally slightly smaller, the sheets 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), each with the Boyertown logo in the negative. 1950-60s

Additional Details

Boyertown Auto Body Works operated from 1926-1990. Today one of its buildings is the site of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles.
