Additional Details

Organizers give speeches from a truck tailgate to a crowd of a few dozen people on the main street of a small town. Banners demand the release of Tom Mooney and the Scottsboro Boys, promote the Worker's Ex-Servicemen's League, and urge workers to "Demand Unemployment Insurance" and "Defend the Soviet Union, the Workers Land," all suggesting the CPUSA of the early 1930s. One banner partly visible on the side of a car appears to read "International Labor Day, Monticello, NY."
