Additional Details

This legendary liner was in service for only a short time. Beginning service in 1931, she was gutted by a fire in the English Channel on 04 January 1933. Luckily there were no passengers on board, though 17 of the ship's crew perished. She never re-entered service and was scrapped in 1936. Because of her short career, materials related to the ship are exceedingly scarce. These sumptuous albums contain copy photographs of extremely rare promotional photos issued by the company. The photos would be almost impossible to find in the market place.
