The earliest (printed in Hartford except as noted ) are: Connecticut Almanac for 1780 and 1781 Father Abraham's New-England Almanack for 1782 Beers. United States Almanack for 1783 and 1784 Bickerstaff's New-England Almanack for 1785, 1786, 1788 Freebetter. The New-England Almanac for 1786 (New London, CT) Strong. An Astronomical Diary or Almanac for 1787, 1788, 1789 (2 copies with different imprints), 1790, 1791 and several incomplete almanacs through 1794. These are followed by a bound mass of quite worn Connecticut almanacs, 1807-16 (8 with title pages plus some fragments), and 36 loose Hartford and Bridgeport almanacs from 1817 to 1857 plus 1867. Provenance: Moses Talcott of Wethersfield, CT (early inscription), thence to Major William Hanmer Talcott (1831-1910) of Hartford.
