Unrecorded official membership rolls of the Skull and Bones Society from 1833 to 1886. The title page bears a cryptographic string of letters, "OTIRHABCDITF," but the woodcut skull and crossbones on the divisional title pages, together with the gilt "322" on the rear cover, reveal the identity of the organization. The present handbook details the names and hometowns of the members, listing a total of 150 members. The names are certainly noteworthy--we find future pastors, politicians, members of the Yale faculty, and, of course, titans of industry. No other examples traced.
