A mixed set, with a Second Edition of the first volume and a First Edition of the second. Ellis served as a surgeon's mate on both the Discovery and the Resolution and his account of the Third Voyage is one of the earliest printed. The plates, after drawings by Ellis himself, constitute some of the earliest published views of Hawaii, Alaska and the Northwest Coast of America.
