Fine copy of one of the most important eighteenth-century weekly Parisian theatre journals, rarely seen in the complete 176 issues. Fully illustrated with dramatic aquatint costume plates, the periodical offered literary reviews on stage productions and performances of the time as well as historical anecdotes of the French theater. "This book was written by Mr. d'Auberteuil until the 27th issue of the first year, an anonymous took the drafting and continued until the 30th issue of the second year, it is the 31st issue of this second year that M.
