The patterns in this book differ substantially from most kimono pattern books. The kimonos are very subdued, with the design restricted to the bottom of the garment and the end of the sleeves. Another noteworthy difference is that the designs are entirely in shades of gray and blue, with the gray added by hand rather than printed.
