Additional Details

The twin-screw "Vulcania" was a long-lived ship. She began her maiden voyage on 19 December 1928. She served as an American troopship during World War II and was returned to Italy several years after the war ended. She resumed service after being reconditioned. Her sister ship was the "Saturnia."
