(CRIME) A San Francisco mugshot album with approximately 700 photographs and entries, including suspected robbers, murderers, pimps, embezzlers, and rapists, and including both men and women. Silver prints, each approximately 2 3/4x4 inches (7x10.2 cm.), mounted recto/verso 3 per page, with the offenders' names and stamped numbers, in ink, at the outer edge, and with a crime (or occasionally a status) rubber stamped below the image; also occasionally with additional citations ("Dead"), in pencil or ink; about 45 with an overlaid additional mugshot (and 4 of these have three overlaid shots) and a few removed. 4to, 1/2 red leather over cloth, with the remnants of a label, and the date and "Police Department" black-printed on the backstrip. 1921
