A warden's book detailing prisoners received at California prison San Quentin, March 1935-December 1935. With approximately 1100 mugshots and entries, including robbers, rapists, wife abandoners, thieves, murders, and burglars, primarily including white males, but also some minorities and women. Silver prints, each approximately 3x2 1/2 inches (7.6x6.4 cm.), mounted recto/verso, usually 3 to a side, and with the prisoner's name, crime, age, physical description, occupation, place of origin, and criminal history typed into the red-ruled printed sheets, also sometimes with a parole or discharge date penciled in.
