Additional Details

Arthur Flegenheimer, better known as Dutch Schultz, was a numbers racket boss who irked mafia leaders in 1935 when he declared his intention to kill a troublesome United States Attorney. He was soon killed by two hitmen in the employ of "Murder, Inc.," led by Jacob Shapiro and Louis Buchalter. The first of these posters shows Flegenheimer, giving numerous aliases including Dutch Schultz. The second shows Shapiro and Buchalter in 1937, both wanted for violations of antitrust laws. Shapiro is described as "Speech, very gutteral, Jewish accent . . . gesticulates with hands when speaking."
