Additional Details

a rare survival of this home-made "wanted poster" involving a famous new york city police shooting of a black child. This poster was created in the neighborhood where 10 year old Clifford Glover was shot in the back by plainclothes cop Thomas Shea. On April 28, 1973, Glover and a friend, Add Armstead were walking along a street in Queens when a car drove up and one of two white men pointed a gun at them. The pair ran, and one of the cops fired, fatally wounding Clifford Glover, ten years old. An open walkie-talkie to the dispatcher recorded Shea saying "Die you little bastard" and a few moments later, a whoop and "the good guys won!." As air-tight a case as the District Attorney's Office was given, Shea was tried and acquitted.
