Poster for a 1952 biographical film about Cuban baseball star Roberto Ortiz (1915-1971), who portrayed himself on screen. In addition to his time in Cuba, Ortiz also played in the American League in the 1940s with Washington and Philadelphia, as well as several years in Mexico, and spent the final years of his life in Miami. With art dated 1951 by Juanino of Mexico. No other examples traced at auction or in OCLC.
