Additional Details

Major Reno served under Custer at Little Bighorn. The troops under his command were separated from Custer's, and most of them survived the battle; he was widely criticized for failing to support Custer. A year after the battle, Reno was court-martialed on charges of public indecency, and was suspended from rank for two years. Brought up again on similar charges in 1880, he was dismissed from the service. This apparently unique set includes a complete facsimile text of both trials, handsomely bound.
