(CYANOTYPES)
Personal album containing more than 190 wonderful cyanotypes belonging to Cora Smith (who may have also been the photographer) as well as other prints depicting a broad range of imagery. With views of African Americans in Virginia, beach scenes in Coney Island, studies of children on "poverty row" in New York City, loads of colorful family snapshots, interiors and exteriors of stately homes in Connecticut, summer fairs in upstate New York, and views of a naval vessel. Cyanotypes and printing-out paper prints, most about 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm.) square, many with handwritten notations, in ink and in pencil, below the image. Small folio, gilt-lettered morocco, dampstained, backstrip perished; contents tight. Late 1890s-1902
