"The National Medallion in Memoriam Majorum." Copper-plated electrotype, 17 x 12 3/4 inches; light staining, a bit of tarnishing at edges. In period frame without glass. A presentation of patriotic texts in miniature relief. The top half reproduces the text of the Declaration. In the center are a portrait of Washington, Trumbull's depiction of the signing, the flight of the British from Boston, and the signatures of the signers. Below is a history titled "Battle Roll of the Revolution," followed by a brief summary of the American presidents through Buchanan.
"Declaration of Independence of the United States of America." Copper-plated electrotype, 8 x 7 1/4 inches; minor staining and minimal wear, hanger mounted on verso. A presentation of the text in miniature relief, with Trumbull's depiction of the signing at center, and facsimile signatures below.
