The creator of this manuscript piece took some liberties with the hallowed original Declaration, most notably omitting the header "In Congress, July 4th 1776," altering the title, and leaving out the final two-thirds of the text. The signatures are rearranged in a way which does not follow the original, or any of the popular engravings of the early 19th century such as Binns, Tyler, Huntington, or Stone. However, the signatures are reasonably close imitations, suggesting that the creator likely had one of those printed facsimiles to work from.
