Collection of original Art Deco designs for wallpaper, textiles and gift wrapping. 178 original brightly colored gouache and pochoir designs, mounted on original stock embossed and stamped with the company seal. Designs vary in size from 3x3 to 6x6 1/2 inches on average; mounts are 11-8 inches and hole-punched to fit into 2 modern plain red cloth binders; occasional glue bleed-through and a few scant surface imperfections, but mostly fine. These beautiful graphic designs, reflecting primarily French and Japanese influences of the day, were preliminary studies and models for the screens used in printing fine patterned silks and decorative papers. One album is comprised of 100 variations on stripes, and the other contains 78 circular, square, or rectangular abstract, floral, and geometric designs.
