Additional Details

Founded in 1897, the American Negro Academy was made up of some of the best minds in the African-American community. Some of its members included W. E. B. Du Bois, Booker T. Washington, Paul Lawrence Dunbar, Arthur A. Schomburg, Carter G. Woodson, Alain Locke, and James Weldon Johnson. The present archive includes letters with good content from Du Bois and others.
