Additional Details

A 12-day camping trip in which 3 American giants of industry and the preeminent naturalist John Burroughs--to whom the volume is dedicated--drove from Pittsburgh to Hagerstown. The photographs provide an intimate glimpse of these powerful men, who referred to themselves as "vagabonds." They are shown relaxing in natural settings, meeting townsfolk, enjoying botany classes with Burroughs, and inspecting man-made structures, such as bridges.<
