Frances Euphemia Thompson (1896-1992) was a trailblazing art educator as well as an artist in her own right. In 1923 she became one of the first Black graduates of what is now the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, studied in Europe, and then taught at Tennessee State University through 1969. This manual was her best-known work; we trace none at auction.
