(EDUCATION.) WASHINGTON, BOOKER T. Typed Letter Signed. Single sheet of Tuskegee letterhead, addressed to Mr. Charles Livingood, regarding a group of Real Photo postcards done by the Institute's resident photographer Arthur P. Bedou. Tuskegee, AL, May 8, 1911
Mr. Livingood had apparently requested some real photo post cards of the school. Washington responds "The post cards of the kind you refer to (photographic) have recently been made, that is these were not sold until within the last few days. It happens that Mr. Bedou (the school's photographer) is on the grounds and I am able to get them without delay and am glad to send them." It is clear from the content that Mrs. Emery had no doubt paid for the buildings as some sort of gift to the school.
