IV" containing 69 photographs of a journey along the Nile, comprising views of the shore of the Nile taken from a boat; numerous views of Aswan, its market place, the port, and some Sudanese residents; views of the ruins and landscape of the islands of Elephantine and Philae; young boys toting and riding logs at the first cataract of the Nile, and desert views with camels and riders. Albumen prints, 4¾x6¾ inches (12.1x17.2 cm.) and the reverse, with French captions, in ink, on mount recto. Folio, ¼ red morocco with marbled covers and endpapers, light wear, bumped at corners. 1891
